April 28th had to be the hottest day of the year, but it didn’t stop us from having another beautiful College Park Day. This year Wawas sponsored the event by sending us hundreds of bottles of water to keep everyone replenished.
We started the event off with a 3X3 game from the women who represent We Got Next. The yellow team pulled off the win. The community also enjoyed the 360 Photo Booth this year.
As the day got cooler, more kids stopped by to enjoy bounce houses, interactive games, food, and music. Our Old Timer’s rematch game between Team Darius & Team Dayday was another instant classic. We spiced up the game with official black and gold jerseys. Team Dayday got thier second win in a row but it was the MVP trophy that was special this year. We named the MVP trophy after our friend of the community, Dashaun “Hitman” Harris who passed away earlier this year.
200 back packs filled with school supplies were handed out at the end of the day.
