This spring, we helped host the first Kroc Center High School Spring League in collaboration with the Hampton Roads Kroc Center and 7CitiesHooptape.
Congratulations to Team Rick, who finished the season with only one loss. Team Rick was led by rising seniors Marquise Jones and Keon Mitchell, with standout contributions from Will Adams and Joshua Feagin.
We welcomed six teams from the Hampton Roads representing Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach; who competed in eight game season throughout the month of May. Admission was free as games were held on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Throughout the season, we highlighted weekly stat leaders and shared exciting highlights on social media that got over a half a million views powered by @7CitiesHooptap.
With intense playoffs games, the championship match-up ultimately came down to Team Rick versus Team Robinson. Although Team Robinson led for most of the game, the poise and experience of Team Rick’s rising seniors took over and secured the victory.
