It’s not always the big things — sometimes you just do what you can.
A few weeks ago we saw a kid in the Glyndon community of Virginia Beach, playing on a hoop that could definitely use an upgrade — and we knew we had to step in.
This neighborhood means a lot to us. Our president, Darius, grew up here, and playing on quality hoops helped him earn a scholarship to Old Dominion University. Now we’re paying it forward in the same place where it all started.
With the help of some awesome friends who volunteered their time, and a generous neighbors; we assembled the new hoop and secured it with water and sandbags for extra stability.
Now we’re looking to take it a step further — we’re seeking donors to help us install a second hoop so the kids can run full court and really get active. Help us make a lasting impact!
