Ball for a Cause
Giving back through the game is at the heart of what we do. After the success of our Hurricane Relief Tournament, we proudly launched “Ball for a Cause” — an annual holiday basketball tournament where participants compete on the court while donating and supporting a meaningful charity.
It’s more than basketball: it’s purpose in motion.
College Park Day
Since 2019, we’ve proudly hosted “College Park Day,” an annual end-of-summer celebration that brings the community together through basketball, fun, and giving back. Held at Level Green Park in Virginia Beach, the day features bounce houses, activities, prizes, music, and community cookout; culminating in a back-to-school drive providing backpacks filled with essential supplies.
It’s more than an event, it’s a chance for past and present residents to reconnect, uplift one another, and invest in the next generation.
Big Jern Athletic Scholarship
We proudly present our scholarship in honor of the late Roderick “Big Jern” Jernigan, a pillar of the Hampton Roads community. Coach Jernigan dedicated his life to mentoring young athletes, helping them earn college opportunities and succeed beyond the game.
His legacy lives on through this scholarship, supporting Virginia Beach student-atheletes in continuing their education while pursuing their passion.
High School Spring League
Our High School Spring League brings together six local teams for a competitive 5-week season designed to keep student-athletes active, improving, and out of trouble. Each game is fully recorded with stats tracked, giving players a chance to compete, develop, and showcase their talent.
Beyond the game, the league also provides opportunities for interns to gain hands-on experience; running a league, tracking statistics, and working behind the camera.
WEARE757: Rising Stars Games
The WEARE757 Rising Stars Basketball Games is an middle school showcase featuring the top 32 boys and girls — standout 8th grade student-athletes from across the Hampton Roads area.
Designed to recognize and celebrate student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom, provide early exposure during a critical stage of athletic and personal development. The event creates a platform for confidence, competition; highlighting the next generation of talent while reinforcing the importance of discipline, character, and academic success.
Courts for Change
Courts for Change is our community revitalization initiative dedicated to improving public basketball courts and recreational spaces. The initiative supports projects of all sizes, from small enhancements such as new nets, court cleanups, benches, and equipment upgrades to larger efforts including court resurfacing, new goals, and complete court renovations. By restoring these community gathering places, Courts for Change creates safer, more inviting environments where youth and families can be active, build relationships, and strengthen neighborhood pride.
